How to Improve Your Chances of Winning an Award in Travel & Tourism

Would your travel company or organisation like to be an award winner? If so, ask me to do the submission for you. I have a very good track record on behalf of (silent) clients.

The truth is the product/service/campaign has to be VERY good to start with. I can take a very good product and make it appear excellent. I cannot take an average one and make it so.

Here are my tips how to approach the submission process:

The key is relevance (choosing the right award and category), attention to detail and delivering proof points to all questions.

The application process takes a degree of humility. Don't over hype. Let the product/service/real world results do the talking.

Be concise. Judges have to get through a lot. Hit them with a compelling bop on the nose right at the top of the submission. Lose the corporate marketing spiel. As in journalism, boil your words down.

Show the judges. Don't just tell them. Visuals count.

Admit that the product/service is not perfect -- that you are on a journey to learn and improve, doing the best you can with limited resources available.

Show gratitude at the end of the submission for being considered a contender for the award.

Much of the above applies to various types of 'green' certification and compliance applications too.

So if you would like me to handle your brand's award application or certification process, let me know via private message or email: kens@scottasia.net
