Khiri Travel will emphasise sustainability and business growth at PATA Travel Mart in Phnom Penh, 18 & 19 September. The Khiri team invite travel industry partners and media to visit them at booth J2 at the Mart. Khiri management will elaborate on the opportunities that are now available following the opening of Khiri Travel Indonesia in March and Khiri Travel Sri Lanka on 29 August. The company now has 15 offices open in 8 countries and a sales office in the United States.

Andre van der Marck, VP Khiri Travel and Chris Gramsch, Sales Manager, Khiri Travel Cambodia will update PTM visitors to the booth about new products. Graham Read, Khiri Travel’s Sustainable and Responsible Tourism Manager, will also welcome visitors at the sustainability pavilion (N22).

On 19 September, Willem Niemeijer, Founder & CEO, will address the theme, “Sustainable Tourism in Asia: Visitor Dispersion as a Solution” in a hosted PTM talk, 12.30-12.45 pm.

Niemeijer will tell the audience that mass tourism is impacting the environment and cultural heritage of the famous sights in the region, while the benefits often fail to reach those not in direct proximity.

The Khiri Travel team are available for media interviews including updates on recently introduced experiences such as Bagan to Mrauk U in remote Myanmar, Kontum in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, and the PATA Grand Award winning Banteay Chhmar Tented Camp adjacent to ancient temple ruins in northwest Cambodia.
